Series Big Idea
God can use my story of finding “My Way Back” to help others find their way back to God too.
Aren’t you thankful you’ve found your way back to God? Yet, despite our gratitude, so many of us are hesitant to talk to our family, friends, and neighbors about our faith in Jesus. Some of us aren’t sure what to say. Others are afraid of what people might think or the way they might react. Some of us almost never utter a word about our relationship with God to another soul.
This 3-week series is a challenge for people to share their “My Way Back” story. The intent of this series is to use it leading us to a big event, or anticipated attendance jump as a way to encourage everyone to invite friends and family to church. As part of this series, attenders are challenged to identify specific friends or family members that they’ll commit to invite to invite to church. This series features the use of the BLESS practices: B-Begin with Prayer, L -Listen, E – Eat, S – Serve, S – Share Your Story
Weeks 1 and 2 of this series are designed to be short 8-10 minute messages that are accompanied by 15 minutes videos of several of our Pastors telling their story of how they found their way back to God. The purpose of these videos is to model what it looks like for someone to share their story. The videos are divided into two parts – One video will be shown before the message, the other after.
