Crucial. Excruciating. Crucible. These words and others in English are derived from the one Latin word, “crux.” Literally in Latin, “crux” means “cross.” The dictionary says “crux” means “The basic, central, or critical point or feature.” That’s why we speak of the “crux of the matter” or “the crux of an argument.” CRUX is the center, the intersection, the point of it all. So in this series talk about how to follow Jesus during Holy Week, using Greek and Latin words that correspond to a life that has been changed by Jesus’ CRUX.
