Series Big Idea:
When we make the decision to surrender our life to Jesus, we gain a whole new identity as a Christ Follower. If we are not aware or our new identity, or we don’t embrace our new identity, we can get side tracked or distracted and in essence have our new identity “stolen” from us.
Week 1: Alien
Big Idea: Christ followers are called to embrace their identity as aliens (the foreigner kind, not the extra-terrestrial kind); as people who live different from the world, but still influence the world.
Week 2: Servant
Big Idea: Serving is not just a good thing to do. It is who we are as Christ-followers: people who live life not primarily to serve themselves but to serve Jesus and the world He loves.
Week 3: Missionary
Big Idea: Being a Christ-follower is more than just being on mission, it is finding our identity as a missionary in our everyday life.
Week 4: Overcomer
Big Idea: Part of our identity as a Christ-follower is being someone who overcomes, who is victorious and a conqueror in this world.
Week 5: Family
Big Idea: As Christ-followers we have our identity as a member of the Church, our spiritual family.
